Sunday

We had two new pets for around 4 hours yesterday. We found two baby bunnies in the yard, eyes hadn't even opened up. The girls were very excited about having them. We tried feeding them, but that didn't work out, unfortunately. I think they were just too small to try and feed. After a long day outside, the girls got to take a bubble bath.

So, I went to up load photos this morning, and found these strange photos, that I did not take. Apparently Madison felt the need to take some photos.

Besides Todd's guitar, that is a picture of the TV during iCarly, one of the girls favorite shows.

Madison's Class Field Trip

Mrs. Schulteis' kindergarten class went on a field trip on Wed. to Deanna Rose Farmstead. I volunteered to go. I had a group of four kids and we had a list of things that we needed to see. We also had to use 4 of our 5 senses. Our group was Madison, Gabriela, Sash & Dylan, and boy were they a handful. Who knew that 4 hours at Deanna Rose w/ four 6-year olds could be so exhausting.

Easter

The Easter Bunny made it to the Smith house, but he had to wait until after lunch due to the frigid temp. Hiding eggs when it is 32 and windy out, just isn't pleasant. While hunting eggs, it did snow (12 flakes, but it was still snow). Instead of Easter dresses we opted for sweatshirts and stocking caps.

St Patty's Day

Today they had a parade in Martin City (South KC on the MO side). The parade route went right in front of the nursery that Todd is working at during the weekends. So, we bundled-up, long-johns and all and headed out. Got there early. The girls had their faces painted. We rode the spinning apple and each played a game. The girls really liked the parade, especially the part when they throw candy. Didn't have the camera with me, would have been too much between balloons and prices and popcorn.

Behold the Madness

The kitchen has been unloaded so that we can paint the cabinets with a sprayer. Then paint the walls and then install our slate floors. I am hoping for a smooth process.

The Weather

Since I have been in KC, they have always said, "if you don't like the weather, just wait for tomorrow". Yesterday, great, sunny and 68. Last night, rain and thunderstorms.

Today....it was windy and 29 (we were supposed to have snow). We are done with winter!!!!
