It was a gorgeous day in Kansas City, few clouds 85 degrees. The girls put on their swimsuits and we got the ladybug sprinkler that Nana sent. It was another long day outside. Coming in long enough to eat and then back out. The girls played hide & seek with the Drakes (Lexi & Danny) til it was time to come in to get ready for bed. For 2 1/2 to 6 1/2 year olds they did a pretty good job of staying put.

Mothers Day
We had a nice day yesterday. The girls were nice enough to let me sleep in til 8am. Madison had ants in her pants for me to open my gifts. Madison gave me two pictures that she made at school. Taylor made a ceramic heart with her handprint in the middle. The girls took me out to breakfast, Denny's (their choice) and then we went to the lawn & garden store. I think we spent most of the day outside, did some gardening in the front yard. Taylor crashed for the night at 6:30, and didnt' get up til this morning. She was exhausted.

Nana, Lamar & Aunt Mel Visit KC
The Texas group came in on Wednesday night and were able to enjoy time with the girls Thursday. Thursday night was exciting, as during dinner outside, the Tornado sirens went off, and continued to go off. Lots of powerfuly storms went thru that night, fortunately we did have any damage. Friday we visited Deanna Rose Farmstead, we caught a fish, the girls had Pony rides and took a hayride with Nana. Saturday we had a birthday party and the boys went to Bass Pro. I was a great visit.
